On the first Sunday of September at the 2025 Concours D’Elegance held at Hampton Court Palace our Customer Ambassador, Michael Campbell’s, 2003 Bentley Azure Mulliner, was awarded 2nd place in the Bentley Trophy.
The Hampton Court Palace Concours D’Elegance is arguably the most high profile event for classic cars in the UK each year, featuring an always astonishing and ever changing collection of unique, rare historic vehicles that come together from around the world just for one weekend.
The Bentley Trophy is open to Bentley owning members of the Bentley Drivers Club at the Concours D’Elegance and this year some 30 or so Bentleys from all ages were represented.
The Bentley Trophy was judged by Giles Crickmay of Frank Dale & Stepsons and Mike Sayer, Head of Product Communications at Bentley Motors UK.
The Bentley Trophy was won by a special order Bentley Continental R in distinctive satin-finish Flame Orange colour. Third place went to the right hand drive version of another special edition Bentley, one of the two Bentley R-type Continental Fastback Sports Saloons from H.J Mulliner built for Peter van Gerbig, a wealthy New York socialite from the 1950s.
So Michael’s car was in distinguished company indeed!
Michael’s Bentley Azure Mulliner is specified in special order Dark Oyster Grey metallic paint with a Redwood leather interior. It was originally part of the Bentley Heritage collection and featured as one of Bentley Motors’ launch cars at the 2003 London Motor Show, consequently incorporating some unique Mulliner coach built features including Dark Burr Walnut and Le Mans style gear lever and instrument panel.
Since purchasing the Azure 3 years ago Michael has asked RR&B Garages to keep it in tip-top condition for both regular fine weather driving, as well as for showing at events such as this prestigious Concours D’Elegance.
If you are interested in showing your car at a Concours D’Elegance somewhere around the world why not bring your car to be prepared for success to RR&B Garages. We’d be delighted to help!
